Between 1999 and 2016, I was engaged as the executor/personal representative of my father's, mother's, and brother's estates. In the first instance, it quickly became clear the role wasn't one for which just any relative was suited. I had to raise my game quite a bit to make sure everything involved was taken care of as it should have been.

It sounds like you're doing your best, which is all that can be expected. I hope the beneficiaries of your father's estate appreciate the effort you're making to carry out the terms of his will. In some cases during my work on behalf of the estates, I found that appreciation to come years later.
