520D E60 rattle under driver seat on accelerate, dpf removed
Hi,
I have just been for a drive on the motorway and the engine failure: reduced speed warning came on, since having DPF removed (gutted and welded after a DPF failure to save on cost) a few weeks ago two problems have arisen.
1: When accelerating from stand still there is a tinny rattle under the drivers seat as if something is knocking on a pipe, its quite loud.
2: Second issue is when turning left or right again from stand still there is a higher pitched noise coming from the left wheel or near the exhaust.
What should i be looking at here based on the fact that the DPF was removed. The most recent change after that was a new turbo inlet pipe which had blown off, it needed the pipe, tube and sensor from BMW (£250).
Any guidance you can give is appreciated, the mechanic said he needs to take the exhaust off, after taking off the s**t stopper?
I am due to receive a new car in a week but i need to fix this to sell it but im think i need to get it to a BMW specialist not just some garage.
Is there anything i can try/look out for.
Thanks,
