Calibrating the speedometer doesn't change your speedometer. It simply is a statement of what your speedometer reads and what your actual speed is.

IE reads 55, actual 53, reads 60, actual 58, so forth. It's a piece of paper. Nothing more. Having your speedometer corrected is a whole other issue.
