It's highly unlikely BMW are going to leave Europe without an M2 to buy for the best part of 2.5 yrs. The new 2 series is due out sometime this year, so expect M2 within 6 months of that.

• Aug 2021: production of G42 2er starts;
• Dec 2022: production of G87 M2 starts;
• March 2025: production of G42 2er and G87 M2 ends;
• April 2025: production of G42 2er LCI (facelift) and G87 M2 LCI (facelift) starts;
• March 2029: production of G87 M2 LCI ends;
• July 2029: production of G42 2er LCI ends.
