While the situation wasn't emergent, I would have understood. If I had kids and they were injured - and a broken arm is significant - I would race home too. I would tell you to slow it down; putting yourself at risk by driving at those speeds won't help you or your daughter should something unfortunate occur...........but again, I get it.


As far as drawing my weapon....


....it depends on the totality of the circumstances (..the car you're driving, neighborhood, etc.), but not likely. I exit the vehicle with my weapon drawn often, but I also patrol a gang infested city.
