Lost my wheel nut key

Damn. I swapped my wheels over the other day for my track set and went to change them back tonight. I've lost the damn nut adaptor for the security stud on each wheel. For sure I left it in one of the studs before I drove off so it's gone for good now.

Options:

1) Call the dealer tomorrow and see if I can get a spare. Are these things all the same or do they actually make them in multiple patterns to make them more secure? Assuming they can get me one, how much will this cost?

2) Sacrifice the security studs and replace with standard studs. It's simple enough to get the studs out provided you don't want to use them again and for this reason, the security studs are of limited value anyway.

Either way it's a trip to the parts department for an adaptor or new studs.

Anyone else done this?

I suppose in the short term if these are a generic fit I could just borrow an adaptor from someone to do the immediate swap and worry about it later. I prefer not to wear out my (road legal) semi-slicks commuting to work.
