Intake

We have dynoed our N55 with open air box with virtually no restrictions. At the same boost pressure the car made ZERO horsepower. The restriction is at the turbo itself. To make a custom intercooler/piping any other product cost money. To custom prototype something is not cheap especially if you don't have a dedicated shop or tools to use. Intercooler cores are important for flow efficiency. Bigger is not always better. Just like the exhaust for these cars. 4" exhaust is WAY too big for a fist size turbo. 3.5" may be the better route to go, but keep in mind 3.5" piping is more expensive than 3" or 4" piping and not every company can do 3.5" mandrel bend.
