These are more cold harsh truths rather than unpopular opinions. I'm in complete agreement.
I'm also of the opinion America has changed drastically since the 2008 recession times thanks primarily to social media and historically low interest rates. It's sort of led to a "fake" economy. It's created hyper-polarization, civil unrest, created millionaires out of people who'd otherwise be working at McDonalds, pumped fake liquidity into the economy leading to things like Crypto and, and worsened the wealth divide. The tech sector especially has reaped the benefits of all this cheap money.
