Tell that to my buddy that got ran over from behind waiting at a red light while visiting in Phoenix. If that happened back in LA, he would have been up front and the wreck 4 cars back. Not in hospital for two weeks. Now visit LA when the 405 is a parking lot. I’m not going to wait to get rear ended, which happens on a regular basis.
There have been study’s done, responsible lane splitting can reduce chances of injuries for riders.
