In the above posts there are some helpful links and videos. I did backup the files before I started coding too. Printed out the steps and the cheat sheet for the stuff I wanted to code.

Thanks for the info. How many hours did you put into it from start to finish? I spoke to Codemycar.com and they can do it remotely for under $200 which includes the cable and unlimited about of things to code. It seems reasonable to me and I'm thinking of just doing that in one shot.
