I wouldn't ask people here for legal advice, as it's worth a lot less than you're paying them for it. A local traffic lawyer will be able to tell you if he can get you traffic school or some such.

The only thing that gives me pause is that you would think a lawyer in Houston could help you with a ticket in Louisiana. Wow. For that question alone -- you need a lawyer!
