My computer got fried a few hours ago. I was adjusting voltages to get my ram to work (MSI NF980-G65 was having an assload of problems to get 4GB of RAM to work) and all of a sudden my computer shut down. I never went beyond what BIOS called "safe" settings either. I played w/ the power switch a few times and i heard a loud pop. I just got an RMA w/ Newegg and hopefully it will go through, for replacements. Thankfully I had an old CPU that was running perfectly before I upgraded.
All my data is still here. I also thought my video card was fried as my monitor was getting no signal, but nope.
