Correct you really just need to experience a better gas stove. In my new kitchen I went with open burner bluestar range. 25k BTU open flame burner can sear a steak on cast iron like nobodies business.

My big issue remains the lack of heat on burners suitable for mid sized pots, takes me freaking ages to boil water and when i add food the boiling just STOPS.
