I lived in Maryland for 40 years or so. I worked near BMW of Silver Spring (Tischer it was called back then). My wife's Z3 we bought there in 1997. Jim and Mike would give us local walk-in Bimmerheads a 20% discount even without a BMWCCA membership (this was the mid 1990's). They were great guys, just as brothers Evan and Jason are.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
