With the budget caps, it's certainly easier for the smaller teams. Maybe that's also why Sauber/Saubers owners didn't want to sell to Andretti.
Getting a new team into F1 instead of buying an existing one has always been difficult; all the other teams have to give up a piece of the FIA annual money pie.
That has to be compensated.
From the current teams in F1, I don't even know if there's any team that has started from scratch in the last 2 decades or so. I think they're all existing teams or bought teams.
Except maybe Haas?
Rude health in viewing figures, circuit attendance, desire for new circuits and some new big sponsors this year. I bet some teams can now attract far more sponsorship than they can spend.
