They started dropping some of the qualifying events etc. from ESPN a couple years ago, I also got tired of setting it up to be filmed etc. and F1TV handles all of that. There's also a lot of extra content from past years/decades, and during the races you have the ability to choose to ride along with any driver you want. For example, if you're a big Alonso fan you can just watch him the whole race. They also have a lot of extra interviews, behind the scenes stuff, all practices, etc. It's actually a helluva deal for under $100 a year.

This uncompetitive mess really has me questioning it however. I found myself fast forwarding through a big portion of the races last year, and this year looks to be even worse. Alonso's strong start last year kept me interested, but now AM looks to be #5 and watching him go for 6-10th place every race isn't my idea of fun.
