You are right on the width at 74 vs 75 for M2 vs M5 that wont make any noticeable difference. 6 or 12 can make a difference in big city parallel parking, but the reality is that you can just drive around longer looking for a bigger space and almost always find one, but sometimes literally every inch counts when you are squeezing into a tight one. I grew up in a big city, but am happy not to live in one now.
