So I'm of the same mindset where I see clients who are close to (or in) retirement and I think "Man, I still have 20 more years to go before I can hope to be in a situation where I can retire"...and it feels a little depressing sometimes.
But then I also flip it and think, wait - am I really hoping all those years go by that quick and I'm that much closer to the grave? I don't know...flip flop back and forth, but I find thinking about death helps reframe whether I really want those 20 years to pass quick. |
That's an interesting perspective to consider. I'll have to ponder that for a bit.
