I really would like to see before and after IAT readings on the same day for something like this. It looks the part, sounds the part (as you say), but does it give us those sweet sweet lower IAT that we all know and love?
It is really difficult to improve an already efficient BMW design. I did not take before and after measurements but I understand Turner might have done some instrumented tests on the F8X. I will email them to see if they did some data gathering. The kit still retains the front scoop that feeds the OEM boxes and the heat shields are pretty big that they block the entire side from the engine side. They also provide the heat shield tape which cover the heat shield. All in all, I love the added carbon under the hood and the sound is intense, my car has one of the loudest exhaust setups on these cars and you can still hear the turbos pulling in air over my exhaust note.
