It is soft-ish and feels good to walk on. Hawaii has warm season grass.. so Bermuda, Centipede, St. Augustine, and Zoysia? :

I'm currently cutting it 3" twice a week (Wed and Sat). I'm also watering it only 3x week as water in Hawaii is expensive. I'll take a better picture after my next cut.
