Kidding - glad to hear that! Sometimes these things lead to conversations and communication and work that should have happened sooner, but didn't...and there is some momentary pain, but it is for the best and you come out stronger as a couple for it. Other times, it has festered too long and that is the end if both dig in to their respective positions.
Sounds like it was the former for you both and that makes me happy.
