Who provided the payload adapter? Northrop Grumman. If it was a separation issue that caused the loss of Zuma, it's Northrop's responsibility not SpaceX's. Falcon 9 did its job.
But lets not throw stones as ULA has come close to failures several times with the valve issue on the Atlas V being the most recent close call. Two seconds before, Centaur would not have had the energy to make up the 1st stages shortfall. |
So would it be fair for ULA to blame the supplier of the valve for the failure?
