FS: Stripper 56,000 mile 2010 E92 single hump speed cloth in MO
https://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/d...490607418.html Not my car, but it popped up on a craigslist search this morning in Southwest Missouri. No affiliation, but this is a relatively low-miles 6MT single-hump speed cloth car and I kindof want it, somebody buy it so I don't. Looks like the only option might be EDC.

I don't see anything wrong with his price. $30k for low optioned, manual car in Melbourne red with under 60k Miles is right where the market dictates. Pending ppi and potential needs, it's a fair price

Most budget shoppers are people with your type of attitude. I think 30k is a fair price. |

You think so, but apparently no one that’s actually in the market for this car does. Do you see how that works? It’s not just a hard car to find, it’s a hard car to sell. Most people selling these cars have your type of attitude. They’d rather continue paying ownership costs while the car depreciates and they get minimal use out of it, instead of recognizing that multiple offers at a common price point might actually be the market value of the car. It’s okay, he can keep his car another 2 months or more. I’ve found another already

I’ve located a Jerez car much closer to me with the same options minus speed cloth, for a steal. I’ll post it once I can coordinate with the seller to pick it up - pending his availablility this weekend. |

The market also isn't dictated by the offers you get. Very rarely will someone buy a car at full asking price, they will try to negotiate. To you and the others it isn't worth $30k, but to someone looking for this exact spec it will be. I'd probably offer $27k to get a better deal as well, doesn't mean I'd be surprised my offer got turned down and that's what we are trying to say.

Fair enough. If you don't mind me asking what did you offer? I've been that seller numerous times because it's often people think their entitled to "a good deal" when reality is he probably doesn't need to sell it and/or won't sell it for less than fair market value. Not attacking you or saying you're one of those people but being a seller in today's used car market is by far one of the most frustrating annoying things in life hahahaha. I know what I'd be willing to sell my car for and I wouldn't take a penny less. Unless it's beyond normalcy, there's not much to see I guess is what I'm saying.
Hopefully you got a good deal on another car you found and you feel comfortable in your purchase, at the end of the day that's all that matters.
