Moving from 335 coupe to 535?

Greetings from e90 forum. I have owned my e92 since basically brand new in 2007. My wife is pushing me to get an automatic car. And with kids coming in the future, a four door might make sense. My first BMW was a 92 535i 5spd. I really loved the car, but didn't realize how big it felt until I got my e36 M3 to replace it.

Anyhow, what are the thoughts on moving to an 08-09 535 m sport with automatic? I live in Chicago so x drive would make the most sense.

Also, does anyone have one that would like to trade for an e92 with only 32k miles?

I drove a new 08 4 years ago as a loaner car. I will have to drive one again. Also, I would really like m sport and an 09 for the newer navigation. I like your enthusiasm, it's probably more than I want to spend as I only look for mint clean cara which usually are not cheap.

09 has a newer control but not the newer CIC. You'll have to get a 2010 for the CIC.

I made the exact same change before we had our daughter - haven't looked back! Went from 2007 E92 335i (with sports package) to 2008 E60 535i. Have sports package and sports automatic transmission on the E60. I miss the sound, and sportiness of the 335i, especially the 6MT, but love having the extra doors, space in the trunk and the more comfortable ride. Sports auto transmission is nice for the occasional open road when I am on my own.

I love my 535, especially after the Cobb tune was installed. I've driven a bunch of 3 series before but they don't compare.
Here are a few pics of mine including the other car.
