Idrive menu

Yeah I have mine set only to beep when I lock my car just to make sure. You go to the Idrive settings > vehicle > door locks > and there should be two check boxes with acoustic confirmation when locking/unlocking.

The UK i drive setup may be different, and if anything most likely the dealer can do a flash to get rid of it for you! get a good SA so as to not charge an arm and a leg or if they're awesome theyll throw it in for free

My Service Advisor at my local dealership says this has been a common complaint of many E60 owners. He also said there's no way to turn it off.

I wish I could get rid of it as it is very annoying. It seems weird no one at BMW would have thought of that but I say that about lots of things when it comes to my German rides.

Ok, so what you are saying is that once it has been put on a E60, there is no way of taking it off? unless the iDrive system is flashed.

No, I didn't say that about the iDrive system being flashed. Someone else said that. I'm not aware of any "flashing" that can resolve this complaint nor was my local dealer.

Cars in the UK may be slightly different than cars in the US. Also, my E60 is an 07 and things may have changed in 08 or later.
