Twin Turbo 5 Series

go to www.bmwusa.com and aparently the new bmw 5 series has a 300hp twin turbo engine........same engine as the 3 series maybe??? someone do some good research please!

Am I missing something. I thought this was known for quite some time. It is the same engine and is providing more competition for the already short supply of the HP fuel pumps.

I dont think it'll be that much heavier. Either way it's still gonna be way faster than the 530.

I didn't know that the 535 had come out yet, its smart of them to utilize the same engine. Too bad they didn't slap a dual exhaust on it like the 335.

5 Series is supposed to look more executive

Anyway, there is space for a spare in a 5 series, so no space for the 335i type pipes

Interesting, does that mean the 335 dual is not functional? I have yet to see my car on a lift, but I thought there were 2 cats, and it was a true dual despite the H pipe.

It is a functional dual

535i just doesnt have the space to put the ends so far apart

Ok, agreed, the 335 has a true dual. But if the 535 also does 300 HP and presumably 300 ft. lbs., where is the benefit of the 335 exhaust system?
