I think everyone here should posting in this thread. It's obvious he wants attention and someone to say it's okay rather than reason with him. Not saying he's a troll or anything but there's no point in trying to reason with someone who doesn't want to keep an open mind.

Que? If you read the last few pages you'd know I am now looking at M3's. More specifically, might be buying this 2008 M3 vert

Google these three letters

D
C
T

I am pretty feminine (probably the most on this board, right bimmette ) and so I figured I wouldn't want you to see the harsh things said against me in PM.

My friend is fortunate enough to take me out in his miata. We have never had a dull time! Here is one shot when he let me drive it.

Dealer or private party? If private party check if the PO has had the rod bearings done. Either way, get a warranty.

TBH I prefer a vert and automatic. I don't like manuals they are annoying as fuck dude. Plus the vert looks nice - why is there a stigma? lol

They are not going to know if the rod bearings were done - they are old lol

Also - are rod bearings near the tie rods?

Tie rods are a connection for steering mechanism. Rod bearings are what connect the piston to the crank...

Because I'm in a good mood, this will point you in the right direction. Research is your friend.

Definitely not an automatic bud. M-DCT. I have an E93 and I'll be the first to admit, it definitely doesn't look as good as the coupe or even as good as the sedan.

IMO, in terms of looks: E90>E92>E93

I hope you enjoy the roof creaking over every freaking bump and hump...Also a limited choice of exhausts...chrome window trim...and reduced trunk space!

The E93 life is a hard life to live...

On phone don't feel like multi quoting everyone. Does the roof actually have creaking problems like that? I like the look better than the coupe and definitely over the sedan lol don't want to modify exhaust, I'll black out the trim, and trunk space doesn't bother me. So looks is clearly subjective.

Warranty - purchase or no? I tend to do most work myself on my G. Is shelling out $6k really worth it?

Naw. BMWs are notorious for their reliability. The warranty is a waste of money.

Hey ASBSECU E93 can you and MissP weigh in on this?
OP - unless you're tracking the car, Verts are fantastic.

Right exhaust set-up and you'll want the top down all the time.

Forget all that chatter about weight, as mentioned above - you don't drive on the track everyday, but you can put the top down everyday and listen to that glorious symphony.

Add a Tune or Supercharger - and the heavy Vert becomes a monster....

On a serious note - I think I'm going to get this 08 M3 Vert with 33k miles and for 27k - who wants to see it?
I know someone with a convertible. She thinks it's cute.
I see how it is....

Yup... your story continues to check out. I guess by "you do most of the work on your G" you mean "I know how to wash my G"...

Would you even get approved? Not to sound harsh, but your credit score/lines matter more than all that. Then your debt to income.
