Bluetooth pairing issues... Updating firmware?
Hi all,
My dad is having an issue with his E60 and pairing his LG for telephony. He has an 2005 E60 with the standard ccc i-drive setup. When he connects his phone the i-drive doesn't resolve his phone name but rather shows it as a list of numbers and letters (I assume it's hardware address). It then disconnects sporadically and is unusable. When I connect my S7 Edge or an iPhone 6s, it resolves the name and holds a stable connection... I have read that this can be down to "Energy saving bluetooth" modes but I can't find anything on my dads phone to disable this (if it exists). Does anyone have any advice? I wondered if updating the firmware on the telephony module would perhaps provide better compatibility? Thanks Vish |
