PAPA SMURF

Just bought this 2006 BMW M5 with only 7000 miles on it. Traded in my 2009 BMW M3 Coupe, 6m which had 21k on it. Uhm. I did not get to drive her yet since I am currently stationed in Korea, but I will be on leave in about 6 weeks. I cant wait. Papasmurf has had window tint installed. Thanks to the wife. Other than that he is stock. I`m not planning on doing anything to the rims. I am a BIG fan of them and will keep them. I do however plan on gettting a Meitsterschaft G2 race exhaust on it. That will be about it. Any suggestions for anything else would be appreciated.

Cool car, but it is kind of a downgrade don't you think? From an '09 M3 to an '06 M5?

Dude... It's not a down grade at all! Its an upgrade if anything... The 06 M5 has a V10 with 500 hp and 380 lbs of torque. That's about 100 more on both hp and torque then the m3's v8 engine. On top of that, he got it at 7000 miles! Im kind of jealous actually.. I just got a 08 535i... Maybe I should have just looked for one of those! Do u mind if I asked what you paid for the m5?

35%. wanted to get the darkest LEGAL tint possible in SC. I got stopped by a state trooper on my M3 before and I had to take my 5% off and show it in court. Got no fine. Just had to get it removed.

IMO you will not regret getting a better suspension. I have a E60 M5 with the Dinan Stage 3 suspension and it is so much better. Not saying you have to go with Dinan but definitely get something.

Post a vid when you get the exhaust installed. Would love you hear it.

That was an amazing find on an even more amazing car. I love the E60 M5, its one of those "special" one offs that we'll probably never see again. The sonorous growl of that V10 is unlike anything, you wont miss your M3 much.

The M series are nice but from '09 to '06 is a DOWNGRADE in term of value of 3 years, Gas efficiency in '06 with a V10 vs a V8. BAsically you're paying more for gas and to downgrade the model of 3 years. Even though it is a very nice car, it DOESN'T make sense in long term value.

Fuel... Hmm... I can really say that I don`t care the least about paying gas or the gas prices. I got the car because its in top conditions, and its a V10. Gas money is no issue. Plus I ride my motorcycle more than anything anyway. So there are not going to be lots of miles put on this baby anyhow.
