Anyone interested in CIC Navi Retrofit

If anyone is interested in having CIC Navi Retrofit + Combox Install, please see the following thread.

http://forums.5series.net/topic/1221...trofit-combox/

I am trying to gather people here so we have bargaining power with the vendors.

Thank you

The only issue with this retrofit is that the vehicle SW cannot be programmed to accept the retrofit permanently. Therefore, if Service is required, which requires SW intervention, the retrofit will have to be removed before BMW could access the vehicle's SW as it would be in error status since it's serial number is linked to the OEM configuration. This is the reason why I have not upgraded my 2009 DVD based nav to the 2010 HDD based nav system

Really, I have seen some people claim they can code the vehicle's VIN into the unit. Is this not true?

sounds good..

Sometimes I wonder expensive car like the 545i should have cc navigation with a good dvd player and cd player. But unfortunately not all 5 series comes with it. Here is my car for example. I am looking for retro fit system as well... You have my support for sure..
