Illegally parked M240i removed with a crane

Park your car outside and head into a store for some shopping. You come outside and see this happening to your car...

Wow. I would freak.

That's definitely in Toronto, Canada. Obviously guy was parked where he shouldn't have been but still... could they not have moved the car any other way without damaging it? Wonder if the owner has a legitimate claim with the city to repair/replace his vehicle...

The person that posted it on twitter said they were trying to do some construction on a bridge or underpass for the weekend and this car was parked illegally in a spot blocking the start of the project.

They couldn’t call for a flatbed tow truck and instead did thousands of dollars worth of damage? Seriously wtf

That's absolutely ridiculous. There was no need for that. I hate to say it, but I'm pretty sure if that was a Civic or Corolla parked there, they would have just towed it away the normal way. I feel like this is another example of the hate that some jealous people have for luxury car drivers.

That car went into a street car tunnel and at the platform area it doesn’t support wheeled vehicles. Driver was intoxicated and still pressing the gas when cops found him. So it’s no park and tow situation

+1. The first picture should be last, it shows where the crew deposited the car after removing it from the street car tunnel. Apparently it's a popular spot among idiots:

Huh, wonder why they didn’t just back it out then since it was already running?

The car fell. This is another car that got stuck a few months ago. You'll see at the platform area the drive-able surface drops

No. As the car was stuck in the streetcars grooved tracks. Also, want to resume service asap.
Per Star: "Since 2014, the TTC said, there have been 26 incidents of cars driving into the tunnel. Ross added that this frequency had sparked early talk of setting up a gate system, but the TTC hesitated over technical concerns."

Yes, cringe.

Crrrunch...
Seems to me the car did not deserve its owner... and vice versa.
So sad...

People see bmw and react crazy sometimes. But if you park like a loser who knows what can happen. When I park I don't give anyone a reason to hate, act immature, or be douchey to my car
