Buying an new E60
I'm much more into the style of e60, controversial as it is, than f10. So, I decided to replace the '06 e90 with a 528xi. There are not many left (in Canada). They are all well optioned (Executive Package) and the only decision left to make is exterior and interior color combo. I'm thinking of space grey/black.
Does anyone have a good idea what kind of deals is reasonable at this point? I'm getting about MSRP (CA$62500) minus 6 to 7k (if leased: 46% residual for 39m, 2.9% lease rate). Any info or suggestion will be appreciated. I'm pulling the trigger in a couple of days. |

That's pretty good discount. Once the F10 comes out in June, the dealer may want to get rid of all E60 as soon as possible, therefore, possibly another $2K off is not out of the question.
I would call different dealers to see who can give you the most $ off. |

Just picked up a 2010 space grey 528xi, with Executive package, which is one of the last bunch left in Canada. Had only done 50km driving for now. Fantastic car. Had 5 bimmers before but this is the first e60. Truth be told, I'm more a rush-hour cruiser rather than an enthusiastic driver. My 3er traded-in for the 528 had 25km/h on it after three years of commuting (horrible traffic in downtown Toronto!)
Love the handling. The car actually feel quick and nimble in city traffic, in spite of its size and weight. The power is more than adequate for daily commute. Also. love e60 look and space grey is magic! |
