Bimmer Performance Center N52 Oil Leak turned interesting...
Hi everyone I hope this will help better educate everyone on their N52's. This E60 arrived to us for an oil leak complaint. Upon inspection we found the front crank seal to be leaking. While we were replacing the seal we found shreds of the drive belt behind the seal. We alerted the customer and elected to remove the oil pan to remove the remnants of the belt.
If you experience a belt that has shredded itself we would highly recommend having the crank seal inspected so that this doesn't happen.   |
