Is getting the BMW extended warranty worth it??
I bought a 2008 528i(by the way what does the "i" stand for). It had 35k miles on it. And came with a CPO. My regular car warranty has expired since I now have 60k miles. I still have my extended 2 year limited warranty through the CPO. But should I purchase the extended warranty offered through the dealer?

Usually the warranty companies charge more for cars out of their factory warranty period, so if you plan on getting one do it before your warranty lapses. Most BMW dealerships will sell warranties from more than one company. Your best bet is to do some comparitive shopping with several providers so you can evaluate the types of coverage and its associated cost. I went with Mercury because they offered and electronics package that covered iDrive and Nav.

528's are pretty reliable if you drive it hard then yes get one. If you keep it up then I would pass and use the $ to go on a vacation or two. Just saying... :-)
