Got towed to a tire shop which was closed so I left my car there overnight
Today I learned:
-how to use my portable pump (which didn't help)
-that almost no one stops to check if you're ok (I did have my cell phone in hand)
-that I should always bring my external phone charger when I leave the house (as cell phone almost died)
-how to put the tow hook on by myself
-which friend is nice enough to drive me home.

It took 1.25 hrs for AAA to come in a flatbed. Luckily it was a gorgeous day out. The driver was pretty nice too. Usually they are grouchy.

At least you're safe.

How did the tire go?

Dunno. I can't tell what happened. Will find out when the shop opens tomorrow.

He'd do this all day long. For some reason, bouncing the ball on the wall is the only way to get him to relinquish the other ball, while simultaneously triggering him to go in the pool after the other ball.

Not bad for a blind dog. haha

How long did it take you to figure out the tow hook?

I didn't know how to open the tow hook cover. I used a screw driver to pry it open. Didn't know it was so pliable!
The tow truck driver was impressed that I had it ready for him haha.

I thought about him first, but would he have had a tire for me?

I think there are two reasons why people don't stop for me.

1. It's a BMW. They don't feel bad for me.
2. I have a cell phone in my hand. However, it never fails, that while I'm waiting for a tow truck, my phone battery dies very fast. I was at 17%. Yes, I did have my car running for awhile so that I could charge it.

But yeah, one old man stopped when I was trying to pump the tire on the highway. Then I decided to drive slowly off the highway so that the tow truck could access me easier, and a young guy stopped there. Then I was closer to civilisation so I can understand people not stopping.

However, I hope everyone reading this, stops for people on a highway to ensure they don't need a phone!

Once had a blow out in Indiana on I-65. Pulled off to side of road, called road side, and waited. 4 police cars past. None of them stopped. One finally stopped and asked if all was well.

How is it even safe to stop on the highway? By the time you see the stranded car, you're already way past and now you have to consider safely pulling over with cars up your ass. Then you gotta back up all the way to where you are. It's actually easier to get help when you're off the highway.

And like you said, you probably have a phone and have already called for help. So if someone pulled over, you'd most likely get the "oh help is on the way, thanks anyways."

So here's why no one pulled over:
1) you didn't make it obvious that you needed help
2) no cleavage was shown

I noticed the same thing. My other car's a VW and drivers around me are usually pretty normal when I'm in that but they turn in to huge assholes when I'm in the M3.

I was near a highway exit where the speed limit was low and there was a shoulder to pull over safely. Yes, I had a phone in my hand but I didn't know if my pump was working and did need help. I had my hood propped up to show that I was having some kind of mechanical issue. How else do I make it clear that I need help?

And my top was actually pretty low cut, so whatever little cleavage I do have, was probably being shown.

Was it near my exit? I could've probably thrown you a spare wheel/tire from my place lol.

Next time try panties hanging off the antenna. Works for me every time. Make sure no skid marks though.

Nope, I did almost stop at your exit to take pics of my car but didn't want you to see me and think I was stalking you

///M Power-Belgium are you on Rolexforums? I was tracing some info on a Patek and it took me to Rolexforums and there was a comment from a user there. The username was Ambiorix. I wondered if it is you! No pictures of scantily clad women, so I have my doubts.

True! But this speaks also for your supposed superficialty to judge someone just by the ride he owns. Ok, its a 3 series and I hadnt stopped neither but this is another story
Point is: The willingness to help shouldnt be affected by the brand of the car, no?
