45 pound plates clanging together

Occasionaly, in my 2008 535 I hear I sound that sounds like two 45 pound plates clanging together. Anyone have any idea what that is?

Maybe Wastegate rattle? Posting a video of the noise would help.

where is this coming from? I thought I heard something similar too on my 2004 530i. I think its coming from the dash just behind/on top of the glove box. I maybe wrong. My car is a right hand drive. im yet to pin point the location. I need to be on the passenger seat to try and locate it. I only hear it if i go up a bump. Please keep us posted.

I guess the location would help. It's not engine noise. It sounds like its coming from somewhere in the center console behind the shifter where the storage box is located.
It's not a performance issue just a semi-annoying mysterious rattle and was wondering if anyone had any idea what could be causing the sound.
