Aperture also is your depth of field. The lower you go and the closer you move to the object the more blurred the background will be. If you want a wide depth of view, use a larger aperture with a longer shutter speed to shoot a bunch of cars in one scene!
I appreciate the tips i will try them when i go out and shoot again, look at some of your shots they are awesome, fresh whip too.
