New to me 5

I just picked up a 2009 CPO 535 last Saturday. Sport package, comfort access, heated seats, bamboo, logic 7, navigation & premium package. This is my first BMW and so far so good. Now I get what all the hub bub is about.

I do have a question however. As I understand it, without comfort access when the key is in the ignition lock, the key fob battery is recharged. But from some reading I've done it sounds like the battery in the fob for comfort access does not recharge and must be occasionally replaced?
