In the comparo (forgot which rag) they had Bill Auberlin in an M5 vs. Heinracy in the CTS-V, and they posted virtually identical times with the CTS-V slightly nudging the M5 around a race track. They commented the M5 could have been slightly faster but they ran out of time.

The point is M5 / CTS-V around the track, the performance is almost identical and the variable will be driver skill.
